I didn't catch the price but MOTHERS AND SONS was auctioning off packs of Oreos signed by the cast (since Oreos play a prominent part right at the play's end.) I thought it was actually pretty cruel; I wanted the Oreos but not to open the package!

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.

I didn't catch the price for the signed Oreos at MOTHERS AND SONS either, but last night, they made a joke about selling a private performance of the 1989 revival of Gypsy with Tyne reprising the role of Rose, Frederick as Herbie, Bobby as Tulsa, and Grayson as Mazeppa for $100,000. It was great.

At Newsies, reusable bag & magnet were $10 each, baseball cap was $20, and the signed poster was $60.

Long time reader but first time poster…

I tried getting a signed Pippin poster today. The guy selling merchandise prior to the show said they would have some after the matinee. When I came back, an usher said they collect, just NOT on Sundays. Matilda did - posters were still $100.

Once a show has started collecting, do they go by a set schedule? Or is it dictated by the production or random?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think shows don't usually collect during previews.

Correct, shows typically don't do this during previews. Although most shows will be open at some point during this campaign.

I saw Beautiful this weekend -- they have signed posters and playbills, but I'm not sure if I remember the prices correctly, so I don't want to cite them incorrectly here. They seemed typical/reasonable to me, though.

If anyone is interested in the Kinky Boots aprons, you might try hitting Ellyn Marsh up on Twitter. Last year she also offered them online during collection time, when I commented on one of her tweets she replied, "Just mailed your FOUR aprons out this morning. Thank you so much!" Apparently she was sending them out from her home in Jersey.
PS Last year's were VERY good quality with embroidered stitching

It will be interesting to see if 'Les Miserables' and 'If/Then' offer anything when they open, especially considering the crazy stage door experiences mentioned on here about both!

What would the stage door have to do with the BCEFA items? Unless you're talking about backstage tours or in-costume photos.

I think Ms. Menzel would be more apt to signing a poster for people to buy and avoid the stage door craziness- during BCEFA collections, 'Glass Menagerie' actually had the security come out and announce the stars would not be signing until after collections stopped.

I guess that would be the usual practice, so as not to prejudice the sale of BC/EFA benefit items ( such as signed playbills and posters).

If they would only collect and actually make those items available! What a shame... Seems so random.
I even tried tweeting BCEFA and all they did was 'favorite' my question. Having to go into the city multiple times, only to be turned away is so frustrating.

ETA: finally received a response from twitter --
"@BCEFA: Each show that graciously volunteers to help makes its own schedule, which can change week to week (and sometimes day to day)."

Don't quote me on this, but I'd guess they'll do some items similar to the recent tour: signed posters, a signed tricolor flag/sash, a red "Dream the Dream" wristband/bracelet. I believe they also sold the conductor's baton from the stage, or at least they did when the tour stopped in New Orleans. There were also signed playbills as well.
