Cast gets 2K a week, orchestra might be more, stage crew is probably more, Jackman/Foster's salaries, you have to pay to retain all those people for his scheduled weeks off. Etc. It adds up.

Feels like we’re gonna be getting more and more closures and be left with lots of empty houses.
Sad to hear - Beetlejuice was a fun time. I went twice in early 2020 so likely avoided the worst of the stans which seem to have resurfaced post pandemic.
I often wondered if they were going to survive a principal cast change. Guess not! Pretty good run for them (3 months short of 2 yrs), and unusual for principals to stick around that long. I think the cast really enjoyed the project. Curious to see where Alex lands next.

I agree. So many closings, prices are way up, discounts are way down. I don't think anything will change for a really long time, sadly.
