I listened to my friends copy and was like ok, the voices are fabulous. The music is eh. Then I saw the show yesterday. Since then, I haven't taken the headphones off of my ears. It is an amazing show, and the CD is very good too.
I don't think Eden or Ramona screech. I think they jsut sing very loud, sometimes high notes. It's no an unpleasant sound...at least not to me.

OK--bumping this only almost 2 years later.

Is BKLYN Live really live? I've been listening to it a lot lately, and the audience sounds are really making me wonder if it's real.

No. They brought the "audience" (I believe they were friends of the cast and production team, around 30-50) into the studio. It's a studio recording with an applause track, essentially.

Aha! I always found the applause after Paradice's last line in the show to be kind of pathetic.

and wow, that's lame.
