I LOVE THIS.You can see the sadness in her eyes but also that glimmer of hope. This Perfectly represents Les Mis to the T.
I guess if you put a Non smiling child on a poster, people automatically think it spells DEMON hmmmm....
The Barricade of the Damned.

Has the official color palette for Les Miserables promotional material also changed - from the maroon shades of the early publicity materials for the movie and from the traditional red/white/blue iconic shades of the Cosette illustration used for the stage musical - to a new one using a blue and beige/gold combination? It is now used for Official Twitter and Facebook pages of the movie.
It is elegant and totally new.

"It is a nice image, great for the fans, but fails to give the general public the right idea..."
How do you know? Did you take a poll? Must be nice to be the absolute arbiter of the general public's taste.
Erm...the general idea is that this lil' tyke, just this ONE (out of millions similarly neglected), is the basis for so much sacrifice, love, life-altering love, decisions, and all the while, she is oblivious to it all. She spends the whole of her childhood wishing for that fantasy world where nobody cries and is all the while being given the next best thing by the slew of characters that surround her. Even Eponine makes it happen for Cosette. Cosette is at the center and the unlikely main character. In my eyes, at least. The way she is kept low-key but is THE face of the musical, the reason for so much love, is haunting.
Beautiful and poignant! I can not wait!
And well said yet again, My Oh My
Love it - capturing desperation and hope at the same time.
I'm crazy excited for this. So happy they moved it to Christmas and away from The Hobbit.
If you watch the most current trailer that is almost identical to the teaser, except some wonderful new clips. The final image is of cosset in the forest and she looks and it fades into the Iconic logo. It was very cool
Love it! Separates the film from the stage show while paying homage to its roots. Simple, evocative and beautiful.
What a spectacular choice. That's marketing brilliance.
It's been said, but I don't like it. The original poster was much better. The West End/Broadway logo and poster is iconic, and many people would see it and know what the film is. If I saw this poster from the distance, I wouldn't think "Les Miserables", I'd think "Creepy Horror".
Frankly, to someone who's never seen Les Mis, they wouldn't have a clue what it was about from this poster. Looking at it again, it could be for the final Twilght film.

^ROFL...did someone just give Cosette a lazy eye. Now THAT'S creepy!
omg I have a lazy eye. I'm not creepy ok!!
So, I gave it a day; add me to the group that dislikes it... a lot. That said, if the poster Broadwaystar posted is also for the movie, that, I like.
i meant that the lazy eye made the poster look creepy not that people with a lazy eye are creepy. DUH, YOU!
