Whahuh?  I think He Lives in You, Endless Night and Shadowlands are all gorgeous.  I'm still pissed they cut Morning Report.  If they wanted to cut anything, it should have been Chow Down.  At least the film won't have a hyena so-you-think-you-can-dance break.

So 2d animated classics are now re-made into 3d animated versions? That's interesting.

So in the future when we speak about the Lion King animated film, we have to ask, which one?

It's weird to me as the 2d artform is superior by far.

Also, did they change the names of the Hyena's?

Honestly, the Beauty and the Beast Live Action remake was barely live action as well. Sure it had a handful of human beings on film, but that whole thing looked like it was shot in front of a green screen.

I am so sorry, but Beyoncé is straight-up bad at acting

Again, it's CGI. They're animating over her face. She record all the pickup and changes in a studio that she wants. She's going to be okay.

And there's no way Shadowland makes it, me thinks. They will.write a new, more radio friendly song for her in about that moment. If not multiple new songs or moments for her.

Endless Night isn't necessary, though it is a good theatre song.

He Lives In You is better than anything written for the movie, and should be in there even as an instrumental in my heart of hearts.

But, yeah, they'll probably do the Beauty and the Beast thing and write a few completely new songs for the film.

Yeah, they did...weird! In the original and the musical they are Shenzi, Banzai and Ed. I wonder if they plan to eliminate the humour around the hyena formerly known as Ed; I guess it's politically incorrect.

I'm another one who doesn't see any value in this remake. I think the original is perfect as it is (and not just because as a 4 year old I was convinced the purchase of the VHS cured my chickenpox!) and the musical is wonderful too. I don't see what this will add that those 2 don't already provide.
