On a side note, does anyone have an opinion on this years Carols for a Cure album? I have purchased several in the past but have come to find that they do not receive much play around my house. Any standouts this year?

Just curious to know if anyone has any inside info as to if "Drood" will be doing collections after they open? Do Roundabout shows typically participate?

NICE WORK has window cards signed by the cast for $100. I also saw a BC/EFA volunteer with a ukulele but I don't know if it was sold or auctioned since I wasn't in the audience.
CHAPLIN has the following:
- mustache on a stick for $10
- Playbill signed by the cast for $20
- window card signed for $60
Also, they auctioned off Rob's hat and mustache plus a backstage tour tonight... getting the competing parties to agree to match for $400... because Rob said he had one set for each act. :)

When do they stop collecting for the fall? I'm just curious because the Mary Poppins tour will be coming to New Orleans the week before Christmas. I really enjoy getting to donate, since I don't live anywhere near New York and can't participate in all the fun fundraisers like you guys do (got to donate at Les Mis after all, btw!).

Dumb question because it's in the name of the thing but I just want to make sure... non-equity tours don't collect for BCEFA, right?

I think it may depend on the show. I believe the Non-Equity tour of RENT used to collect.

For Book of Mormon Tour, sounds like a lot of the merchandise is winding down. Backstage cast meet & greet AND script book signed by Stone and Parker is down to $1000 (earlier posts had it pegged at $1500), they did say only three would be available tonight (Sunday), signed posters that I forget the price for, and canvas bags for $20 (they were sold out of these by the time I got to the lobby).

Any news on "Drood" collections, if any?

I was at Drood on Sunday. No collections and no items for sale.
Once has signed cast posters for $100-either the one with the leads or a Tony telecast poster.
They also have signed snapshots of the cast that are signed for $20. (They were super cheap looking-essentially a color xerox copy on paper of a candid 4 x 6 of the cast and they all signed around it.
Guitar pick necklaces and string bracelets. Carols for the Cure.
Virgina Woolf had signed posters for $50 I believe and Playbills for $25. Also bar towels for $20.

Nice Work had a white bow tie for sale signed by Matthew and Kelli and also a ukulele autographed this past weekend. Not sure what else.

Can you buy things even if you don't have tickets? If yes, how do you do this? Thanks.

saulssweetie: just go to the theater, walk in and go up to one of the BCEFA people...if anyone working for the theater stops you just say you want to buy something from BCEFA

Any updates guys on new shows on Broadway?
ANNIE?
GLENNGARY GLEN ROSS?
ELF?
CHRISTMAS STORY?
HEIRESS?
Did Cyrano De Bergerac ever start participating like they said they would?

Friday night after Thanksgiving, Annie was offering pictures with Sandy the dog onstage for $200 "until Sandy has had enough", that was it besides cast members in the lobby

Since Gypsy is on the 3rd & 4th, will the last day of collection be the 2nd or is it earlier?

saulssweetie, last Sat I got out of Anarchist matinee after 1hr and change. Went next door to Once to ask if I could buy posters (seen it four times so I didn't want to burn a show on a two day visit on it), they told me to come back at 4:25, and I could come in when people were leaving and buy whatever I needed. Came back and got there during the finale, collectors were already in the foyer. They happily sold me the posters and I was able to leave before the crowd came out.

I was at THE HEIRESS on Tuesday night. David Strathairn made a nice speech (it was cute, I think he was hoping/expecting Jessica Chastain to do it, but she kind of pushed him forward)
As far as I could see, they just had signed Playbills for sale, and I believe they were asking $40.

I have some signed posters available for sale. Lots were purchased from Broadway Cares over the years for a nice donation.
