re: BWW TV: RENT Final Performance Film Sneak Peek Trailer

Does anyone notice it said "A special appearance by the original cast"

Unfortunately, yes. That 'original cast' is so visible there is NOTHING special about seeing them... yet again. They're even in the damn film if anyone wants to see them in RENT and they make more appearances together than the current cast. Heck... I think most people think they're still doing RENT on Broadway.

The producers should have kept them away from this.

Speak for yourself there. I think their appearance is deserved, warranted and very much appreciated.

I agree with Craig. yes we have seen them in the movie, a special performance on Broadway and some back in the show, but they should be there for this.

Agreed about the OBC--it didn't make me especially excited to see that they were making a special appearance, but I do think it's entirely appropriate that they make one. They're a little overexposed but it wouldn't feel complete without them.

And agreed with Emcee about the final show being so soon. When they announced the closing, I greeted the news with a big fat "meh". But the closer we get to the last performance, the more I realize I'll miss it (even though it really shouldn't run a day longer than it will be). I haven't even walked past the Nederlander in ages...I may have to on September 7th, just to know I saw it one last time.
