I think I may **** myself! They just filmed yesterday and now there is a trailer? Can some explain the false advertising? I mean it isn't the final performance.

There's no footage from the filming yesterday... No false advertising.

They're filming more than one performance. That's customary for this kind of thing, just in case. The press release about the 8.20 filming said that what goes into theaters will be a composite of the best moments from both. I'm willing to bet they'll put in as much of the final performance as possible, since the emotion will be unmatched by anything between now and then. Relax.

The trailer doesn't have any footage from the current cast, it's just a montage of old stuff.

That being said, this made me really sad. I can't believe there's so little time left.

No not that, the trailer says "1 last performance" you would assume you are seeing the performance. And they have this "BWW TV: RENT Final Performance Film Sneak Peek Trailer (TV Content)"

That seems like false advertising to me.

I signed up for ticket info here in Denver. I plan to see it the 1st night it shows. I am almost sure they will show it at the Pavillions downtown.

If the final performance hasn't happened yet, how can you actually expect to be seeing a trailer of it? Calling this trailer a sneak peak at the final performance isn't the most accurate title, but it's only false if you're stupid enough to expect something impossible. How could it possibly be footage of something that hasn't happened yet? Nobody (hopefully) is actually going to click that expecting to see footage of the last performance.

Drunk Chita, it had already been mentioned before this trailer that original cast members would appear. If I am not mistaken, it was in the original announcement about the filming.
