This looks really terrific! Is anyone travelling to LA especially to see this?
I wish I could see this production...it looks great, I love that they added 10 extra people to the show.

muscle23ftl - I'm traveling to NJ just for it, lol. It's my 2nd time going to CA for Rent in a year. But I wouldn't miss this production for the world. They sound great, and judging by what Nicole said I'm really eager to see her Over The Moon.

wow. i must say i wish i could go, thankfully i have to work this weekend so that will save my bank account from an impromtu trip. they did sound great in the video and although i seriously am NOT a fan of Tveit based on the end of the video i think he sounds terrific and I would actually be willing to give him a chance to win me over as Roger... alas i cant go so that won't happen

It looks really wonderful. Video looks amazing. NPH keeps showing all these new talents-good for him!!! I think Nicole will nail Maureen-she is so much more talented than her pop group allows her to be. I'll be curious about what Hudgens does with Mimi. I wonder want night Zacquisha is attending?

A. Don't really get the appeal of Tveit. He's gay and comes off as a douche. But he has a decent voice. But I don't think he has the right "rock vibe." He's more of a boy band.
B. Is NPH's hubby in this? In the ensemble? That's awesome!

Some people don't really have to. Tveit is one. On the topic of the thread, however, I really am feeling a lot better about this already just from seeing the rehearsals, and while I understand the video could just be a nice bit of spin and we really haven't seen anything from the casting choices we all were most worried about, I really feel like there's a good vibe about this one now.

The show looks amazing. I wish they would preserve this version with a filming. I love the idea of a bigger ensemble and the new orchestrations. Sounds great! I am sure the new orchestrations will be more forgiving for the less seasoned singers with less range.

EVIE: Hollywood bowl seats 17,000+.. most definitely you'll find tickets for Sunday!
Gah.. I just don't know how a show like this will translate in such a huge venue. Everyone will pretty much be watching it on the big screens!

Aaron Tveit is a stunning performer. Great voice, and it's like he owns the stage when he is on it!
I think he seems really likeable as well, so don't really understand the "get over himself" comment!

^^ I also got the impression that NPH is too. and I completely agree, if TV-8 didn't have a good face, people wouldn't be half as interested. his voice is mediocre (usually) and all the parts he plays he does the same
