Be More Chill Coming to Broadway?! — Page 4

Those who are following the story... We were baited because it'll be ridiculous to get tickets because of the 12 AM EST announcement... We've got work, are we really staying up this late for the announcement?

From a "commercial" standpoint, I don't think it would make sense to replace more than HALF of the cast for a Broadway transfer. Also, Will Roland does have a "fanbase", and people do know who he is; unfortunately, it's a small collection of stans who think the character of Jared Kleinman in DEH is some God or something, so that doesn't really help matters. Gerard Canonico falls into the same boat, and has been in many Broadway and Off-Broadway shows as well. ALSO also, do people really consider Jason Tam to be a  "name"? He's very talented, but I don't think people are going to be buying tickets for Be More Chill just because of Jason Tam!

They will definitely not be recasting the transfer. There is no reason for them to, unless they could get huge 20-something celebrities (which they definitely could not).

Wait, what's happening? How do you know the announcement won't be until 12am? And tickets will be on sale then?"

Logically, if every announcement has been every 3 hours, 12 AM would be the other viable option. Many people are also thinking of a cast recording release, so we'll wait and see.

To the person about Jason Tam selling tickets: I know so many teens who have said Jason is "Hot as hell" or they would "Pay for him to run (them) over" so it's definitely possible... I don't even think he's attractive though?

EDIT: Do you think tickets will be on sale instantly? Or will it just announce that it will be transferring and a theatre? It could be like what they did for off broadway and make it nearly impossible to get tickets for early previews after 24 hours...

I wouldn't go far as to say that. Remember when they transferred Lysistrata Jones to the Kerr, they didn't replace anyone with a Broadway name. (And also, Jason Tam was in that show.)
