I caught it on Sunday and had a fun time. I don't know why it has caught on the way it has, but it was an enjoyable time. I bought the cast recording when I got home.

Those who are following the story... We were baited because it'll be ridiculous to get tickets because of the 12 AM EST announcement... We've got work, are we really staying up this late for the announcement?

I wouldn't go far as to say that. Remember when they transferred Lysistrata Jones to the Kerr, they didn't replace anyone with a Broadway name. (And also, Jason Tam was in that show.)

From a "commercial" standpoint, I don't think it would make sense to replace more than HALF of the cast for a Broadway transfer. Also, Will Roland does have a "fanbase", and people do know who he is; unfortunately, it's a small collection of stans who think the character of Jared Kleinman in DEH is some God or something, so that doesn't really help matters. Gerard Canonico falls into the same boat, and has been in many Broadway and Off-Broadway shows as well. ALSO also, do people really consider Jason Tam to be a  "name"? He's very talented, but I don't think people are going to be buying tickets for Be More Chill just because of Jason Tam!

I don't remember reading any "not great" reviews on Will Roland. I thought he was excellent in this. He, Jason Tam, and Tiffany Mann were the standouts for me.

This cast is a lot older than their characters. Almost all of the "teen cast" is in their very late 20s or 30s. However, that didn't bother me nearly as much as it seems to bother others. I don't think it makes sense to recast for a transfer (especially one that's coming pretty quickly if the rumors are true). I thought this cast worked really well together, and I would like to see them transfer. As others have said, this is an ideal season for them to squeeze in.

They will definitely not be recasting the transfer. There is no reason for them to, unless they could get huge 20-something celebrities (which they definitely could not).

Logically, if every announcement has been every 3 hours, 12 AM would be the other viable option. Many people are also thinking of a cast recording release, so we'll wait and see.

To the person about Jason Tam selling tickets: I know so many teens who have said Jason is "Hot as hell" or they would "Pay for him to run (them) over" so it's definitely possible... I don't even think he's attractive though?

EDIT: Do you think tickets will be on sale instantly? Or will it just announce that it will be transferring and a theatre? It could be like what they did for off broadway and make it nearly impossible to get tickets for early previews after 24 hours...

But it doesn't matter who's in this show to the teenage stans; they'll have them no matter what. They need to sell this show to everyone else.

Also, gotcha about the announcement. I hope it's the 10pm one because I am not here for late-night Broadway news!

I don't think the show would be recast unless the cast has other commitments. If they did it off Broadway, why wouldn't they do it on Broadway? The only thing I can imagine them doing is bringing Will Connoly back but I think they're doing just fine with Roland
