What I DO know is that it was not capitalized as of the other day, that it has no names attached to it as producers, that the Shuberts don't book uncapitalized shows with unknown producers, and that if all of the pieces suddenly fell into place, there's no one here to make a deal this week. So what do we have: a rumor, that may or may not be based on someone's aspirational expression of a dream. Could I be dead wrong? Yes. Is it likely? No."
You have no clue what you are talking about dude
First of all alot of show's arent full capitilazed when they announce they have booked a Broadway house, as it was Head Over Heels and GTBBT were both still raising money during previews.
Second the lead producer is not an unknown producer Jerry Hoehring was a lead producer on A Christmas Story, in addition to doing shows at the Falcon Theater in LA, and was a board member and CEO for National Theater For The Deaf

It hadn't even sold out by the time it opened yet alone in one fell swoop. (If my memory serves me well.) There were a number of time after tix went on sale where I considered buying them.
I dont know of its coming to Broadway, frankly, I dont care. I'm not their target audience and thats fine. Will it be a hit? I doubt it, but I'm not an investor so, again, I dont care.

I also don't care and not the target audience. My agent friend said it is moving after the new year but a theater has not been set!

But once the fan base come, and I find the be more chill “stans” to be more crazy than the Heathers “stans” the shows gonna go to chaos. But of course, we survived the Brendon Urie Kinky boots fans, so I guess we might survive this one."
This is where I'm at. The show might very well be good--I won't judge it yet. But the fanbase verges on toxic on the best of days from what I see on Twitter and Tumblr. My fear is it will be the Brendon Urie fans on steroids, coupled with even more outlandish behavior from the youngest."
Toxic? Seriously? I went to the matinee Sunday. It is very clear this show truly resonates with its target audience. But to a person, everyone was well behaved and the whole thing had a very positive vibe. Unless some of you will be working security at the theater it ends up at, what exactly will you be needing to "survive"?"
I was there last week and there was no drama with fans. Audience was very polite, nothing crazy. At the 'stage door' a woman was directing people to stand a certain way and they did. I did not stay to see what happened when the actors came out, but it was all very much a usual evening at a show and if anything less than when we saw Urie in Kinky Boots. A girl we took did the stage door while we waited to the side in the heat for her so she could give him a gift. That was way crazier--and yes, I was crazy for bringing her and waiting.
Anyone else seen their Instagram today? They wiped and replaced it with a video that says "upgrade loading". A lot people seem to be taking this to mean they'll confirm a transfer in the next few days.
Pretty smart for this show to come in this season since it's particularly weak for new musicals. It could easily become the best musical front runner and run on word of mouth through that alone, doesn't necessarily need the instagram "stans".

I think its all but confirmed its coming at this point
The show account also just started following Jordan Roth so...

Exactly. Any other season, no. This season, hell yeah! Bring it in and even if it flops, it'll have that Tony Award sheen that none of the other new shows will have.
Where's that poster who SLAMMED someone last week on here for spreading the "false rumor" that Be More Chill was moving to Broadway? lol
has it been confirmed?
Check Google news.

They've deleted every single picture on their Instagram page, changed their profile picture, and uploaded a new video exactly half an hour ago that features a progress bar. The caption states: "Calibration in progress: 66% complete". https://www.instagram.com/p/BnUfNwhnygU/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet

I haven't seen this much conspiracy theory since the Zapruder film.
I believe the loading number is random. It’s a video, so they can’t load it live down to the minute of the announcement.
But this does, in fact, mean they’re going to Broadway. I don’t think it’ll last, but best of luck to them.
Pretty sure its just Jason tams insta takeover and its all mystery cause hes the squip. It was supposed to be today. Hes the last cast member to not have a takeover

Given how rabid the stans are, I can’t imagine they would do that to them. If that’s what is, welp.
I don't understand why two shows now (this and Moulin Rouge) have deleted all their insta content prior to a Broadway transfer/announcement... seems like it would actually engage fans less.
This coming weekend is probably the NYTimes "fall preview" issue. A good time to put a show on sale and announce for people who plan in advance. I actually wouldn't be surprised if we see other new shows announce sometime before Thursday, too.

No, the number isn't random. The first video (posted around 3) went to 33%, and then they deleted that one and posted a new one around 6 that goes to 66%. Assuming this pattern holds, they should likely do 99% around 9 and then reveal whatever it is either later or tomorrow.
To the person about deleting:
They didn't delete. They archived all posts, which is just soft deleting temporarily.
If it's following Jordan Roth, I'm calling them in the Walter Kerr. No matter how much I hate on this show, it's my guilty pleasure. Definitely going to see!

The stans don't really need any help making things up to get breathless about...
When it transfers, do you guys think there will be any casting changes?

Interesting! Thanks for the info.
Could Roth be coming on board as the Lead Producer? The Off-Broadway run's producers haven't lead-produced Broadway shows before and would probably benefit from his experience.
I think there will be cast changes for sure. Its a complete cast of unknowns. That wont sell. The only ones I see transferring with the production is Jason Tam, Stephine Hsu, and George Salazar. They have the more "well known" names out of the bunch. Will wont transfer I don't think, he didn't get great reviews. But yes, my guess is we are going t get some Broadway names with this production.
