I'm sure Bridges will be perfectly adequate in the role, if not all that exciting. You know, like John Larroquette.

In your opinion. Aside from the Times--which really didn't like anything about the show--Larroquette received extremely positive to rave reviews and won the Drama Desk as well.

Well Beau can sing.
At least he could when they made the Fabulous Baker Boys. He certainly can do the comedy. I don't think this is such random casting at all.
