Beautiful, The Color Purple or Waitress

Looking at TKTS Live availability and these are 3 of a number of shows listed for 50% off. If all 3 are available when I make it to the TKTS booth looking for feedback on what would be the best choice. I get they are all kind of different. 

I've heard mixed reviews on Beautiful so thinking this group may push The Color Purple or Waitress more. I have heard the music of The Color Purple a lot on Sirius, and it is beautiful. But the movie and book disturbed me a lot-of course I was a teenager, and I am older now. 

I like the feedback and opinions of this group so would love to hear opinions.

So true^ go see Color Purple Cynthia Erivo is giving a performance of a lifetime. Beautiful will still be playing.

her only remaining scheduled shows where she'll be out are this Wednesday's matinee & New Year's Day.

Color Purple.

It's not a close call.

Color Purple and Hamilton are, to me, far and away the best shows on Broadway right now.

I haven't seen the other 2 shows, but I saw The Color Purple a few weeks ago, and I can guarantee you, you DO NOT want to miss it!! It is absolutely breathtaking!! Cynthia Ervio is truly as incredible as everyone says, and the whole cast and production are not to be missed.

I'm so glad you were able to see this amazing production.  Cynthia's voice is nothing short of angelic.  I tear up sometimes just thinking about her singing.

It was amazing-truly. I am thankful for this community. 

There was a man sitting in front of me who had seen it 3 times. The woman next to me was so happy to be seeing Cynthia. Audience was very enthusiastic and it was a great experience.

Beautiful and Waitress are still on TKTS so if I want to see them this week I can. I have Book of Mormons tonight and Dear Evan Hansen on Jan. 1st. Saw Falsettos and Great Comet so deciding whether I want to try Hamilton cancellation line tomorrow or the 28th or fill in with Beautiful and Waitress. I think I am more intrigued by pie during Waitress then actually seeing Waitress!!!!

And Beautiful I have heard very mixed reviews.

Try the Hamilton cancellation line only because 1) it's better than beautiful, and 2) you can probably be able to get a ticket for beautiful at TKTS or something after trying for the Hamilton line if that makes sense

If the mixed reviews for Beautiful give you some pause for concern, I'd suggest seeing the show for yourself to see where your opinion stands. I myself am a fan of the show.

Most likely going Friday with a friend whose coming into the city. She wants to see Beautiful-thinking tickets should be available on TKTS.

None, but Beautiful is the worst out of the 3. I'd rather see School of Rock or On Your Feet.

On of feet is simply not worth it. One of my worst theater going experiences last year.
