I know that there was a poster that asked a box office person what will happen with the sets after the show closes. They said that the show will tour and they will use the same sets. I did something similar. I was making small talk with them and made a comment about how it is siad that after July 29th no one will ever get to see this production again. They said that they are going to touring it.
If this does happen do you all like this idea? Or do you want beauty to just RIP?
Do you believe in life after love?
My friend had the brilliant idea of opening a full scale production in the Disney World theme park. Rather than just a park show, have a full scale production. Parents would kill to be able to sit their kids down at the end of a long day of rides and such. And the opportunity to see a Broadway quality show in Florida year-round...that's such a cool idea I think.
they should bring it to Disneyland!

That's a good idea.
I'd have actually gone to see that as compared to the one they have now, which I didn't see on senior trip.
I think they should tour for a bit, but then move to Disney World or put it to rest. It's been 13 years. It's time to but "Beauty" to bed.

the broadway set IS the original tour set.
I would actually love to see this on Tour again because it would give people the chance to experience the magic of the musical for one last time and gives the show a boost for a farewell parting forever. I wonder if they will make the show Tour Internationally in various places like Europe and the UK.
I'm not sure if it could work, but I always had the vision in my mind that Disney would produce BATB into a live action video version (like ALW's CATS) for a farewell parting so people would be able to experience the musical time and time again on screen. And if they produced one soon, maybe they could get some of the OBC (i.e. Susan Egan & Terrence Mann) and a fresh ensemble to star in it.
Anyone agree with me on that idea?

i think it should tour and then it should totally come to Disneyland! it could run at the Hyperion Theater in California Adventure. That would be awesome. :)

mikey-
I have a funny feeling it'll be recorded on the final performance...just a hunch though.
The thing is that disney does a clever job of creating thier parks. They creat thier parks the same way vegas does its casinos. They have shows but they really aren't that long so they can get people back out onto the floor. Disney's main draw is the rides and they have shows that rally aren't that long so they can go back onto the rides.
Though, I heard from a friend who lives in Orlando that Disneyworld made a huge deal when the TLK tour stopped there.

That would be great if they put a production in Disney World. They should really do that with all their shows(all the good ones at least).
I was the one who posted this in the set thread. I was shocked when I first heard it becuase there weren't even rumoirs about the possibility of a tour. It does make sense though for Disney to capitalize on the closing of their longest running show.
