I assume this is the Antonio Banderas version?  Sounds pretty.

…what does this have to do with Antonio Banderas, exactly? It’s a Spanish cover of a musical number.

Regardless, for those who don’t know, Javier was in the Company revival and covered a number of roles. He was fantastic as Jamie.

I am big. It’s the REVIVALS that got small.

The video says "featuring a Spanish translation by Javier Vilalta, consulted by Javier Ignacio," so it's not the translation in the Banderas production.

It’s simply a Spanish translation.

I guess it's very difficult to answer but I'd be curious how the two different translations compare. I never fully understand how English lyrics can be effectively translated into another language, especially Sondheim lyrics. It must be so, so hard to not just convey the same meaning but also have the same rhyming structures/''cleverness" and subtext.

When my goodbye post was removed: “but I had a great dramatic finish!!!!”

In case you didn't see it the NYT just ran an article about the challenges of translating Hamilton into German.
