Does anyone else have a MAJOR crush on this guy, or is it just me? Not only is he sexy, but he is amazingly funny in an underwritten part in "Joy" off-Broadway.
And now this new interview on Broadwayworld just makes me happy that his life seems to be going so well. However, girlfriend? Boooo. We were all hoping he was gay. Oh, well. I guess the heterosexuals get to win an occasional cute guy.
he says his father and his sister are gays...but he doesnt talk about his own sexuality? thats wrong!
I do! how about those pictures... HOT! and he was going to be in TAKE ME OUT??? that would have been awesome... Updated On: 9/1/05 at 05:08 PM

i really liked this article and him a lot... i too, though, was wondering about his sexuality. he did say when he "was trying to figure out his own sexuality." so maybe he tried guys out? or maybe he's bi? we can always hope touch!
I love Ben Curtis. I actually got to talk about him today in my theater class (Okay, so I was really talking about Joy... but I got to say his name!)
Anyways, I want to see this article now...
*goes off to hunt for it*

I'm glad to learn that so many of you have enjoyed my article about Ben Curtis. He was a pleasure to have dinner with him and an even greater pleasure to write the article. Ben has read it and loved it. He says it's "absolutely incredible".
He's a very nice guy.

Ever since those Dell commercials, I've thought "Jeeze, this guy has talent." It's nice to see that he's such a likeable and versatile performer in a number of other performances as well.
Thanks for a great article, Dollypop, and congratulations to Ben Curtis.

Ben is a cutie! He was fabulous in JOY. It was exactly what I needed, intelligent, lighthearted entertainment!

Acting: The art of PRETENDING to be something you are not. People get cast in a part-- Playing say an Irishman. They do a good job. That MUST mean they are Irish.
(See I didn't use the "You don't have to be an axe murderer to play an axe murderer line.)
It sounds like this man has his self sorted out: Supportive of his gay dad, understands the Bisexual thing, questioned his own sexuality, has a girlfriend. SO OF COURSE SINCE HE KISSES A GUY ON STAGE HE'S A BIG OLD CLOSET CASE!

Who would ever want to play in Irishman on stage? (Shudders)

I think i'll light up one of Ben's joints and crawl under those sheets with them.
He is very good in Joy--great comic timing in a small, throwaway role. It's difficult to determine if he can act. Time will tell.
Poor guy, that whole Dell thing is probably going to haunt him for the rest of his career. I can see it now, he'll be playing Hamlet, and at the stage door some idiot will say, "Hey! Hey! Do the thing! You know the 'duuuude, you're gettin' a dell!' do that thing!"
Anyway, I'm sure he's great, I can't wait to see it, blah blah blah
It sounded like the dell thing didn't bother him, he welcomed the success. But he could just be saying that so he doesn't seem like a jerk... I dunno?

I think Ben has accepted "the Dell thing" and is getting on with his life.

All I know is that he is a super-stud.
Whoah. I used to have a mate called Ben Curtis. We used to call him 'Boring Yorkshire Ben' for obvious reasons. Imagin my suprise when i see that he is suddenly 'a stud'

"Ben Curtis" is not that uncommon a name. The Ben Curtis we are talking about here may not have been your "mate".

I think I'm in love. From a playbill.com article:
Asked if he’s ever "experimented" like his character, Christian, Curtis says, "Absolutely, yeah. I appreciate men just as much as women, but I lean toward the female side." So is it fair to say he’s straight? "Umm … I’d say I’m straight, but I’m open-minded. As Darryl says in the show, ‘I’m straight, but I’m not narrow.’" Curtis, who even dresses in drag in Joy, adds, "I love it. It’s fun to bend ideals about gender." Currently single, he says he had his most romantic date when he was 17. "I blindfolded my girlfriend at night and led her into the woods, where I had a blanket, rose petals, champagne and candles. I played a song I wrote for her, and the rest of the night turned out great."
