I would LOVE to see Peters tackle the role. I think she'd be perfect. Anyone else agree or disagree?
PS: When are they going to revive DOLLY? We've seen two revivals of GYPSY in the last 7 years but DOLLY hasn't been on Broadway in what seems like forever!

Personally I can't stand anything she's in, since she can't sing, but I would go see any production of Dolly on Broadway I think.
The last time I saw a professional production was with Lainie Kazan, she was great.

Eh, I don't really see it. Love her, but I don't see it.
I wish, wish, wish I could have seen the recent Leslie Uggams production. I heard it was marvelous.

It is one of those shows that should be revived every ten years or so...it's just so happy, so giddy, so infectuously upbeat...
It is one of those rare shows that mostly pleases both regular theater-goers and tourists alike. Almost every time it's mounted.

I've always enjoyed Bernadette Peters. It would be great to see her as Dolly. I never got a chance to see here in Gypsy.
