Jessica Biel? That's such an odd piece of casting, especially when she has made a career out of being a bombshell. I mean, she did play the daughter of a minister but even then she came off as quite slutty. Odd.
Jane Krakowski should play Adelaide but if they are going for A-listers, I say Sarah Jessica Parker.

This is seriously odd casting. There's Jessica Biel, for one thing. And I love Brian Stokes Mitchell as much as anyone, but as Sky?
I chose, and my world was shaken. So what?
The choice may have been mistaken. The choosing was not.

The weirdest thing is that I can't picture Brian Stokes Mitchell and Jessica Biel falling in love on stage.

Weird, and the pairing of Stokes in Biel is even weirder. Lets hope that Stokes wont have to dial it back in fear of overpowering Biel.

Well after watching that youtube video, I think Biel has a great voice.

I love that everyone is judging Biel already, she could turn out to be great, she actually has a very good voice, is a talented actress and has tons of charisma

She has done professional musical theater, including playing Belle in Beauty and the Beast. Her official resume says she was offered the Broadway role.
Her new film "Easy Virtue" is very funny and she's great. Y'know, she has made some very wise career moves (excluding "Stealth") Justin Timberlake included. Don't rule her out.

I think (when she is given the right role and works hard enough) Biel is very talented.
Too bad she almost always gets sh*tty roles and half-asses her way through it.
Maybe she's better suited for the stage? I wish her nothing but the best with the role. This should be a really interesting show.

When I first heard the cast for the Broadway revival of G&D, I was thinking "meh, how boring".
When I first heard the cast for this production, I thought "this could be quite interesting".
Perhaps if this is successful, maybe they can replace the whole Broadway cast. LOL!

The nice thing about these special concert events is that they can play around with casting in a way they wouldn't normally do for a fully staged revival produced for a full run.

I can't tell from the clip, which sounds overly produced and sound engineered, whether Jessica Biel has the soprano chops to sing Sarah Brown. Talk about stunt casting...
