Billy Elliot The Musical

Pub#2775

Posted: 11/22/05 at 5:12am

Sorry for any confusion I might have caused. The stage door pub is opposite the stage door on the other side of the road. It is the pub cast members tend to congregate in. I guess I will be the only guy there with a large card so you should not have difficulty spotting me. Thanks to those who have PMd a message for George. There is space left so do not miss the opportunity if you want.

Meant to say...

By my reckoning Billy has solo bits in these songs

"The Stars Look Down"
"Expressing Yourself"
"The Letter"
"Deep Into the Ground"
"Electricity"
"The Letter"

Not so dedicated really. I have usually been over on business and managed to take the show in.
But you are right it can be a costly interest but some here have been 40 or more times
Now that is what I call impressive!

Welcome Gavriel, you have certainly amassed your total very quickly. Will you be going on the 3rd?
I agree that each of the Billy's brings something unique and different to their performance and all 4 are absolutly amazing in the role :)

well said Gavriel and welcome to the board! I agree that all 4 Billys are all unique. I haven't seen George yet, so I can't comment on him. But for me, the highlights of the 3:
James in 'Angry Dance'
Liam in 'Swan Lake'
Leon in 'Born To Boggie'
and all the 3 are EXCELLENT in 'Electricity' !!!!

For me:
Liam for Electricity, the Encore and Swan Lake
James for angry dance, and The Letter
George for angry dance and solidarity
Leon for born to boogie

I still prefer all the original cast over the understudies, especially haydn and tim

For me:

george - angry dance and his singing
james - his whole attitude, just love him! especially electricity
liam - dance with older person, and his singing voice is v good
leon - his acting is stunning, amazing expression etc

as for the michaels, i just love brad! he's so cute with his glasses although joey is very good too. i think both brooke and emma are very good, and i've never seen lucy. is she any good?

One thing I wonder with the OCR. Will they change any of the wording of the songs because of the bad language? With Elton's version of "Merry Xmas Maggie Thatcher", they altered the ending replacing the W***** with Tosser, I wonder if they will soften "Solidarity" on the OCR.

All great things must come to pass. We know the first will soon be last and in the ground we may be lain , but a seed is sown to rise again.

It would be absolute madness to change the lyrics of the OCR, the majority of people who will buy it anyway will have been to see the show.

Well it can be rated. If they want to make sure nobody below certain age to buy the CD, they can put "innapropriate language" label, so the seller will know that they have to ask for ID card when somebody under-age try to buy it. When I bought Billy Elliot DVD, I was only 14 years old. They asked my ID card (but because i was near to 15, they allow me to buy it). That is a lot better than changing the lyrics. The most important is "don't change any lyrics"
