Hi all...
Well, guess what..... I just came past the Victoria Palace Theatre on my way back from work this evening heading towards Victoria Station, so I thought I would just see who was on the board tonight playing Billy and you'll be very surprised to know that it was ........ wait for it............
GEORGE MAGUIRE !!!!!!
Will they ever leave ?
I popped round by the stage door as it was interval time and spoke to one of the crew who were outside having a quick smoke, and he said that he thought that George was just back for one night only... but shows that both he, and James, can be called upon to provide cover still if needed... so maybe we are going to be up to 5 or even 6 Billys soon then !
Just thought I'd let the other board members who read this know! Just seems a shame we have such a big 'last night' for James - and George - and they pop back up again!
All the best to them if they do though..... if you are reading this, well done guys.. and hope you can pick up on the changes that have been made for the new cast!

Posted: 12/7/05 at 5:15pmThanks for that Brian. I think its kind of silly to have a real big show to say goodbye and then he somes back again (im glad about that). Soon they will end up with too many Billy's. They oviously dont want to say goodbye to them just yet then!

If Travis Yates (and perhaps Matthew) do not start until December 18 and they want to keep 4 Billys in rotation, I assume James and George will probably both stay at least until then (as was predicted on this board a month ago). Just guessing though.

... I would be happy/crazy glad to see George or James or Liam when I get back into the theatre toward the middle of March. I assume I would see Leon and the newer Billys, but, geez, in another three month, there will be that much more muscle memory in the older Billys and seeing them in the show would be fine with me.
Of course, seeing the new Billys is the reason I've already secured 3 of the 5 seats needed for this whirlwind long weekend with Billy, once again, even if the taxman is going to be looking askance at me around that time of year, too.

Posted: 12/8/05 at 12:04amIt had already been said that although George's official leaving night would be 3rd December, he would be doing the odd night up until Xmas to help out.

There are some things you just don't get over. I saw Billy Elliot for the first and last time in October, and by December I thought I'd be over it. No such luck.
Whoever posted that clip of the Royal Variety Performance a while back, I love you and I want to have your babies.

Unfortunately Billy won't be on this year's show (which is fair enough considering it was on last year!)
Although there is a really cool dance act opening the show called Urban Strides, and I know one of the dancers! (Incidentally, he also auditioned for Billy!)

Saw Jamie on GMTV...didn't talk about Billy though.
He was on The Frank Skinner Show last night (ITV) though, and they did talk a bit about it. It's so weird...he's got a mixed accent of Geordie and American!!! They mentioned BE The Musical also (...talked about Michael Jackson going to see it!!!)

I'm beginning to wish the CD had never come out, as I can't stop playing it!!!
I'm loving Expressing Yourself - it makes me laugh every time I hear it ("Shake that bum billy - it's big enough!"
Other favourites from the CD are The Letter, Merry Xmas Maggie Thatcher, Electricity, The Letter (Reprise) and Deep Into The Ground. But I love the whole CD.
Does anyone have any information on when the score is coming out?
