Well, i'm sorry if I gave the wrong info (normally if i'm not sure, i put "maybe" or "i think"). It just looks if its printed. I want to buy all of them, but I supposed it will be expensive. I think, i'll start with liam.

Hallooooooo! I am new member - I saw that you were talkiung about a Billy Elliot cd and I need to find out more - I want it I want it I want it!
And there should definatly be NO mixes!
I love Billy Elliot - I went to see it for my birthday and I saw Liam Mower and HE IS THE BEST! (obviously the best of the three!)
And all those people who have been to see the musical 12 times and stuff are soooo lucky!
Anyhoos, can someone tell me more about this cd pleeese?

Hi! Welcome

This CD will be released on either 24 Oct or 21 November... We're not sure. But, a source said that it will be released on 24 Oct.
There are three possibility:
Liam performs alone
Mixed album
3CD

I also heard from some sources that it will be released on 2cds (gossip)

Oooo yay! So then will we be able to buy it in normal shops like HMV and stuff? I can't wait!
So will the cd have all the songs in the musical sung by the cast? I sounds really good - coz the songs just arn't right with Elton John singing them....

Oooh this is all getting exciting!! I really hope that the OCR is out on oct 24th at the theater because then I can buy it when I go and see it again!! If the posters really are signed personally then I am SO going to have to get one!!!!!!!

I'm not sure. On www.dresscircle.co.uk, the release date is 21 November. Somebody said that in theatre (only in theatre), it will br on 24 Oct. But all of these are unconfirmed

Yes. You can get the brochure about the competition to win the CD at the theatre. it says it will be released autumn 2005

the cd should b excellent,last i heard it was liam only performing on it good news.even though lookin forward to cd i would also like to c a dvd of show recorded before liam leaves the show in dec.does anyone agree

recording a DVD of the show is in no way an interest to the producers... how could you make money on your show if people could just buy the DVD, plus it would much easier to pirate and get it out free.

so, i don't think a DVD is coming, maybe snippets or something but not a full length DVD. Plus- i think it would ruin the magic

Well, at least they should consider The Making of Billy Elliot The Musical DVD, just like chitty2bang2, which contains some video clip of songs

I agree. Although it would be good to watch it at home as the tickets are really expensive. But your right it would ruin the magic and not as many people would go and see it. It's far more actually going to the theater and watching it live.

What's so terrible about mixes? From my understanding, we would hear George sing one song, Liam in another, James in another--then some songs, like Electricity, would have three copies. How is having one person sing all of the songs better? Of course, 3 CDs would be the best, but what are the chances? I'd rather a mix than all of one Billy. And what about Micheal? Which Michael will it be on the CD?

i agree, a full in depth Making Of would be awesome!! Tanto- do you mean thread!? lol...

as for 3 CDS... i dunno what i think, a mix would be a helluvalot cheaper and in all respects from a producers point of view- a mix makes sense.

I mean, they show us how to make billy elliot the musical, how they select the cast and location, what the story is about, how the musics are written. Just like in chitty2 bang2 DVD. I know these things are already in 2 Disc Special Edition, but it lasts about 40 minutes only. I think for chitty2 bang2, it lasts about 2 - 2.5 h, includes full sample of song (of course with the pictures)
