MF- a mix is exactly what it says, it's not "stupid". It's highlighting all three preformers strengths. They alternate, so it's a full recording just with different actors. Plus- they don't switch mid-song. They each take a song.
oh yeah, and i thought you were through with the bashing?

I feel that a mixed CD has it's upsides. For example, many people who would not be able to afford 3 CD's could this way get to hear something of what all three original Billys were like. Then again, to musical buffs, the shows are so different that they each merit a recording. A mix would, to my ears, be more like a highlights CD, which, I believe, is not the intention. Also, a mix might be confusing if you listen to it without having seen the show.
A DVD with special material would be awesome. It could include some songs, but not the entire musical. It could also include interviews and behind-the-scenes documentaries. That would be cool and I would definitely buy it.

Sorry, I mean it includes every bonus, not only the making. It is approx 2 hours. I forgot how many songs they put. If they put all versions of electricity. It would be great................

MF, you must know by now that what you say will probably not be recieved well whatever it is. So what is your motivation for still posting here? Don't say it is to discuss Billy Elliot, because we aren't getting much discussion with your posts. What is the real reason you come here and remind us in every post that Liam is the only good actor (he's not, by the way.)?
Alex!! you're a BE*liever! WEEE! we're gunno be as big as the Rentheads soon!
HAHA!
ok, let's actually have a discussion.
topic: what do you all think of the staging!?
"Picture "The View," with the wisecracking, sympathetic sweethearts of that ABC television show replaced by a panel of embittered, suffering or enraged Arab women" -the Times review of Black Eyed
Hi everyone, I've been off the board for a couple of days and have just about caught up with reading all the posts (PHEW!...its fast moving, isn't it?)I'm going to see the show for the first time next month (17th) and CANNOT wait, at least then I'll be able to join in with some of the discussion's, I don't feel as if I can at the moment...not having seen the show etc. How's Leon settling in? Byes!!!!
Caroline, the staging is very understated but, to me, quite impressive. It's designed to be there and accentuate the musical but never takes centre stage. Some people seem to feel that it isn't good enough or "glitzy" enough but for me, it works fine.
Everyone and everything in BE seems to be there to accentuate the stunning performances of the central stars. There are some around that think that that means that they are not good, to me it makes them great. You still get the odd cameo where the rest of the cast shine through (no pun intended). "Shine" is a wonderful piece for Haydn and I love her "frustrated ballet teacher" cabaret style performance. "Express Yourself" gives whoever is playing Michael a chance to take the limelight for a few minutes which he never fails to do, much to the audiences enjoyment and "Born to Boogie" shows just how good Steve Elias really is.
All great things must come to pass. We know the first will soon be last and in the ground we may be lain , but a seed is sown to rise again.
Does any one know how long it would take to get a letter back from Victoria Palace? coz I just *ahem* sent a letter to Liam and I was wandering if ha would return it and how long it would take...
I understand that the Billys in particular get a lot of fan mail and more than they can handle so you cannot put a time on a reply assuming you will receive one. All mail is checked by the theatre in case of unwelcome comment which can apply to over praising just as much as denegrating comment. Also gifts, and foodstuffs are not encouraged in mailings so I have been told. Hope that this helps.
Topic Liam Mower only true talent in Billy Elliot Posted by ITK on 17-Oct-05 10:53 Am appaled at the awful way people attack children on here, trully disturbing! MF and LM we know who you are, so be careful. Just to confirm, George is the only Billy leaving on the 3rd Dec the others are staying and being joined by Travis. As for the legality of Liam working, his allowed days start afresh in the new year, so he's with us for a while yet. Hey Aaron x

Just joined as I feel very strongly about the abuse going on here, I complained at whatsonstage and they have replied to the subject of the abuse and have warned the culprits, lets hope they learn and don't continue with the abuse. I won't hesitate to complain here as well.
On a positive note the show is great and I've been fortunate to see Liam, James and George with their respective partners and all were as good as each other but in different ways.
I am a Haydn Gwynne fan which has been my main reason for seeing the show but am totally hooked and hope to see Leon soon and I've also managed to get tickets for 3rd December evening show. www.haydngwynne-online.co.uk
Haydn is amazing, I really love the way she plays "Mrs Wilkinson". I've also been lucky enough to catch some of her performance in "Rome" which I'm guessing will be coming to the UK soon. Hers is only a small part but you almost wouldn't recognize her, she is so versatile.
