Bold prediction--Smash will be a Smash

Of course everyone around you was laughing so hard.  They all figure you've got money & were desperately trying to pry it from you. It's a bit like getting sucked into a time share presentation in Las Vegas or Mexico.

A smash? Based on what evidence? To quote Janet Jackson to Susan Stroman, "what have you done for me lately"? She hasn't had a hit show in 22 years. IT was a show called The Producers. Yes, almost literally a generation ago.  And remember, she pretty much inherited it from her husband who passed away. I'm not saying she didn't do any work to make the show successful. And as a choreographer, if you want a big production number, she delivers on all cylinders today.  But look at all the shows she directed since then. I'm sorry, but as a director, I think after two decades of work that the evidence is in.

Stro is living off her past laurels. She hasn't had a hit in many many years as a musical theater director-choreograhpher.  Smash seems more suited for Casey Nicholaw, Jerry Mitchell or Broadway's ''it'' Director Michael Arden! Josh Bergasse is perfect for choreography staying on from the series winning an Emmy.
