...brilliant. The book had a few fixable issues, but that score was without flaw.

I have no issue with Wildhorn, and am not certain I've posted much of anything about him or his shows. In fact, I'd even love for him to meet more talented lyricists and book writers and see what happens.

(That said, in a lifetime of seeing shows, Wonderland was still one for the record books).

One of my favorite scores of the last few years.
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "

Amusing if only for the fact several posters here nearly lost their heads when it got nominated for Best Score.

It was a new take on Alice In Wonderland.
Critics always lambasted him for soaring ballads (I guess no other composer writes them). He went into totally different type of music (as he did with B/C) and he stilled got crapped on.

FishermanBob, if Izamwhoiam was referring to Bonnie & Clyde the singular musical, "is" is appropriate.
ARTc3 formerly ARTc. Actually been a poster since 2004. My name isn't Art. Drop the "3" and say the signature and you'll understand.

The "I am your alter ego, Alice" ending is something I will *NEVER* forget.

I think he was also nominated for The Civil War.

not going to be on Broadway again for a very long time.

Are you referring to Wildhorne or Civil War?
Give the guy credit. He wants respect from Broadway. I think he knows in his heart he will never get it. He is a success worldwide but NY critics react like Pavlov's Dog when his name is mentioned.

Then he should have clarified that he was referring to the musical in his question Art and you and I wouldn't have to guess.

Bob, come on. It's a broadway message board, I think one can discern what he was talking about
I love Wildhorn's stuff but the bitchy critics will never give him a break here.

Along with 30 others Roxy (by your own count). There are certain groups anyone with taste WANTS to be part of.

Mr. Roxy, if you have FishermanBob on "ignore", then you're reading his posts by hitting the "reply to this message" button. Of course, using this button is essential if you wish to comment, and on occasion it is almost unavoidable that we'll see posts from those on our "ignore" list, but your whole post was only about FishermanBob's post.
I can only suggest that you take your block list more seriously and truly ignore posts by those people. Otherwise, what's the point? I suspect those on your list realize that you're reading and will continue to hold an influence on you and your posts.
I too had to figure this out, but "ignore" now means "ignore" to me. I don't read or respond or comment on any posts by members who've made my list. And, I have to say, I'm a lot happier here because of it.

Bonnie & Clyde is missed. I loved that show. Glad I got to see it before it closed.
