Not surprising at all.
Hope to see Tyler Hanes back on the boards soon..... not to mention Ms. Keating and Ms Black..... or the divine Hugh!

No one can replace Hugh. That is a given. They closed the show when he went on vacation.

Can't say I'm surprised. I still have to see this show!

I hate to see it go, but I figure it's far better the show closes altogether than have Ricky Martin come in and replace the amazing Hugh. That would be so...sad.

It's too bad I hate to see theaters go dark. Well, we'll be seeing it in July.

The only thing that people are going to see is him, not the show.

Tyler Hanes left the show awhile ago to do THE FROGS
Call it a regime change...

Hugh carries that show! I'd like to see him reprise the role on tour or in London.

Now Stephanie Block can move to something else, such as the Wicked national tour...

If Stephanie Block did wicked on tour i would want to see it when it comes to chicago!!! I prefer that they close it when hugh leaves. Its better to leave on a high note (ie. Nine..john stamos).

This is no surprise. Hugh is incredible! But September seems so soon! I need to see it!
This is a little off topic, but does he have an understudy? Or do they cancel all the shows he's not in?

He did have an understudy originally, John Hill, who went on to play Jason in Bare and never went on for Hugh *obviously.* I dont know what the situation is now.
And hang on, when did you win the discus?

Well, he does make the show. Even with him I thought it was kind of mediocre. I hope the stars can move on to better things.

Oh the show itself is pathetic. Hugh is the only reason it's worth sitting through.

This is a great move, very classy if you ask me, Hugh was the only face I could see in the show. Other big shows this season I could see other replacements. But not in this role.
You, you are the worst thing to happen to musical theater since Andrew Lloyd Webber... and you I just don't like you.

Saved from a "Boy Band" replacement- excellent!

yeah I guess it's good that he won't be replaced by some horrible popstar but I really didn't think this show would close so soon. Oh and I didn't know John Hill was his understudy. As cute as he is I don't know if he could pull it off.
