Yes, the Times certainly pays for his trip. They likely pay for all travel expenses, hotel accommodations, theater tickets, and probably meals too. It's a good gig indeed!

Maybe I'm stupid, but I can't tell if he liked A DOLL'S HOUSE. I can see he enjoyed Gillian Anderson's performance (I've been wondering how she would fare as Nora) and that it was shockingly relevant, but I can't tell if he was saying that the production suffered from it's topicality.

I'm pretty sure he said that he didn't like the production, but admired what it did as theatre in a community.

I am shocked he didn't mention anything about Christopher Eccleston's performance in A Doll's House. A can't imagine it being anything but brilliant.

And it's a bummer he probably won't be reviewing Twelfth Night. I was really curious to read what he was gonna say about Raul Esparza in this particular production.

Well, his review of BILLY ELLIOT in London was pretty enthusiastic if I remember correctly and didn't his thoughts on MARY POPPINS were similar to what happened in London?
