Bride Wars

I would love to see a stage version someday. Okay I know some people think it's bad but I think the movie is very funny

Here's little dream cast:

Liv (the Kate Hudson character)-Laura Bell Bundy
Emma (the Anne Hathaway character)-Sierra Boggess
Marion St. Claire (the wedding planner)-Bebe Neuwirth
Daniel (Liv's fiancee)-Cody Green
Fletcher (Emma's fiancee)-James Snyder
Deb (Emma's co-worker)-Heidi Blickenstaff
Nate (Liv's brother whom Emma eventually marries)-Ashley Parker Angel

re: Bride Wars

Did you just spoil the ending of the movie for everyone who hasn't seen it?

re: Bride Wars

...no.

The movie was horrible enough.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

re: Bride Wars

Horrible movie that will be forgotten in two years. No thanks.

re: Bride Wars

I liked the movie.
I'm a professional. Whenever something goes wrong on stage, I know how to handle it so no one ever remembers. I flash my %#$&. "Jayne just sat there while Gina flailed around the stage like an idiot."

re: Bride Wars

I'm sorry but I have to say something here. I was just saying with a few revisons it could work. After all not that the oringal 1988 "Hairspray" movie was a horrible movie (which it wasn't) but it wasn't that popular. And besides if you want a bad idea for a musical try "Spiderman". Come on I don't see why or how "Spiderman" would work as a musical.

Maybe it's Frank Wildhorn trying out some new "ideas"...

re: Bride Wars

Good thing I watched this movie before I read this thread. I have to admit, I do have a soft spot for these corny romantic comedies.

Bride Wars the Musical, though? No thanks.

re: Bride Wars

Idk, I think it might make a cute "girls night out" musical with, as stated, a few revisions to the story and all.

re: Bride Wars

get the people who did Wedding Singer to do it! they have experience in that field.

Bobbybubby, I know you were just joking, but I think that I am going to have nightmares tonight about a Bride Wars musical by Frank Wildhorn.

re: Bride Wars

I threw up a little when I read the thred title. No just No.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

re: Bride Wars

I recently sat through this horrible, horrible movie. Why would anyone think it'd make a good musical (or let alone like it as a film)?

Shame on you Anne Hathaway. You're a fabulous performer capable of choosing your own roles. I'd understand if you did this early in your career to get noticed but this is just inexcusable.

What a sexist, idiotic film.

re: Bride Wars

Michael Arden was in the movie..he could be in the musical. haha

re: Bride Wars

I vote a definite "HELLZ NO" for a BRIDE WARS musical. A NEVER BEEN KISSED musical, though.... Well that's a different story.

re: Bride Wars

I like the movie Never Been Kissed, but I think a musical of it is a terrible idea personally.

Is it sad that I would probably be tempted to see this if it were to happen?
