So when I asked my dad if he and I could go to Broadway flea he said sure. And of course, he told my mother that we would be in attendance because that's what you do when you are leaving town to go to NY. So then my mom that an idea that the whole family would go. By the way, I'm the only one that's really into Broadway. And I am a twin. We are both 14 and I have a brother who is 9. My brother hates shopping my mom hates crowded places and my sister hates me lol. No, she doesn't but she can be very obnoxious and annoying. I just wanted to go with my dad and now everyone is coming. Honestly, I don't care if my sister comes it's just my brother. He gets really cranky and honestly, he hates shopping and we're going to be there till like 5 and we're going for 9-10ish idk when it opens. So is it fine for kids to go to? One more thing my mom gets really bitchy when there are really long lines and honestly I heard that the comet line was huge. But the question is should my brother go or not?
Kids can go but if they get tired, tell your mom to take the siblings up to City Kitchen at the Row Hotel (you can see the flea market from there, I think) or the Marriott so they can sit and do whatever.
If your mom hates crowds and your brother hates shopping they will not like the Flea. But, there is so much to do in NYC. Let them go to Central Park or 30 Rock or take a bus tour. Plenty to do that is not the Flea Market. You and your dad can enjoy together BTW, I will be attending with my 23 year old daughter for our 3rd year in a row.

The Flea Market would be Hell on Earth for someone who hates shopping, crowds, and long lines.
I remember the flea being very crowded in the morning with long lines at Comet and DEH. This year obviously Comet won't be there but I can see there being long lines for Mean Girls and Dear Evan Hansen.
If they go in the late afternoon, lesser people are there and it's more manageable (though most of the sought after items are gone.) I agree with the other posters to let your mom and brother see what it's like... and after 2-3 mins or so let them do whatever they want to do in NYC. I suggest bringing cash as some of the long lines are due to people paying by credit card. If you have cash, at times you can just point and tell the person "I would like that please"; give the cash to him/her, and then leave! If you pay by credit card, then you have to wait in line as only 1-2 people there have the iPad that can handle credit card transactions.
Ive only been to last years Flea market, and I arrived in the afternoon. You miss a lot of stuff, cause everythings picked over at that point, but it was less crowded.

Agreed. I have gone the past two years, and I am probably going to skip this year. The crowds are just REALLY dense and bad.
Please please please let one of your Tuesday YouTube videos include the whole family's trip to the Broadway Flea.
