The thing is she simply can't sing like that anymore. Even if she gets her life back on track, I doubt she would get those vocals back. Something happened somewhere along the line, where she simply lost her singing ability. And I think it was somewhere between the ages 17-21 Everything she sang became whiney and computerized, and now all she can do is lip-sync.

I never would have pictured her as being on Broadway but she was great in that clip. Her voice changed a lot though, I wish she stuck with how she was back then. She'd be amazing.

sorry CapnHook, its kind of hard to get sarcasim across when reading it, bu tthen again you do tend to be sarcastic in most of your response, so i should have known.

As for people saying that she was "amazing" in that clip...is that what "amazing" sounds like, cause to me that just sounded plain ole "ok" nothing more

I don't think she did to much damage to her voice singign that pop music afterall she was lip syncing the majority of the time

And if she did decide to take a stab at Broadway again, they would just throw her in Chicago, that's where broke poor-talent has been celebs seem to end up

Spacedog: well, she's the best 9-year old ( or however old she is there) I've ever heard. Granted, she's not perfect, but the potential really stands out.

I'd be willing to bet she never got voice lessons from a skilled teacher and then didn't know how to take care of her voice as she got older. It's too bad because up until her late teens she had more range.

Haha, well, yeah, having grown up in a 400 population town doing musicals, I guess I can't say that I've heard better than that. I'd be happy if you provided some names of 9-year olds who are better so I can take Britney off the top of my list!
