Did anyone see them perform?

They usually mention it on her TV biographies.
The truth is, Britney was VERY talented as a child. Then she got into the teen pop world, which ruined her voice.

Rapping and singing are two different things, but YES Natalie Portman can sing.
Brittany on the other hand, ugh...you call that singing!!!! POP music didn't ruin her voice, her voice has always been mediocre

When Britney was like 12 and under, she could REALLY sing. All the footage/proof are on TV Bios.
She NEVER sang the same after becoming a mainstream artist.

^ I think it's a lost cause now. After booze, cigs, and drugs, not to mention years of singing incorrectly, no one can get their voice back to where it was.

I have heard through various people that Britney wasn't very good in the role.
Then again, having seen Bundy several times in that show, I don't think anyone could ever come close to her performance anyway.

I saw the show with Bundy - it was a tour de force role for a 12-year-old to perform, and she was fantastic.
I believe Britney was only 10 at the time. I can't imagine any other 12-year-old handling it, never mind a 10-year-old.
