Looks like movie casting is done for Wicked now that Britany wants the role.

A source close to Britney Spears told "The Insider" that the singer is keen to play the green witch in the film version of the hit Broadway musical "Wicked." "[Britney] is obsessed with the musical," the source said. "She listens to the CD all the time in her car. She [even] bought 10 copies of the CD at a mall to give as gifts."

Britney singing the WICKED score would be the funniest thing EVER.
Seriously, do you really think she's a box office draw? She may sell cds (even those numbers have gone down) but no one goes to see her in a movie.
No one in their right mind would allow her anywhere near this project.

No one has announced a movie version of this yet, and even when it was discussed, didn't someone say they wanted to base it more off the book than the musical? Let's not get too alarmed until the announcement comes that the movie will even be made, which may not be for a long time - despite the success of Wicked. (Phantom? Rent?)
Even then, despite Britney's "draw" they are going to have to cast someone who can at least act the part and sing the score.

Guys, stop. Relax.
There aren't even movie plans for this show announced yet. There is no cast speculation, there is no projected release date, there is no director, there are no producers. THE FILM IS NOT HAPPENING YET - IT IS SPECULATION.
Britney would never get the role - please, anyone with a brain knows that.
So relax. No petitions necessary.
