Britney: Y'all, I jis' saw that thar play, Wicked, and it like, totally changed mah life, y'all! I fel' jis' like that thar green gurl, no one sees the real me! Dido wrote me a song y'all, but no one seemed ta care!

Mah fav'rit thang ta do y'all is like, eat a bag of Cheetos and down a can of Red Bull, and listen to Wicked! Y'all, I luv this play!

Kev says I might have to learn to sing, but what does he know? I've like, duped so many people for the past 5 years and now they're mah fans! I bet I could get someone else ta sang and I could just lip-sync it! What do y'all think I do in mah concerts anyway?

big freaking deal if wicked inspired her and she wants to be in it. i bet most of us here would SUCK in the one show we wanted to be in.
She is a great ENTERTAINER....she CAN sing, hardly. I bet the only song she could handle would be "I'm not that Girl". Other than that she would have to pre-record it.
But big deal. So what. Wicked touches alot of people including good ol' white trash. god i love her

This is such bull. Made me laugh though. She can't sing, she can't act, she can't belt, etc...And until it's posted somewhere more...reliable then The Insider, I'm not believing a movie version of Wicked. Wow, Britney as Elphaba...HAH! Idina would do a much better job then her, but that could lead to another argument.

A most ingenious paradox.

Its going to be AT LEAST five-ten years before any movie of WICKED gets made. There is way too much $$ to be made from touring and international companies. If and when its made -- I severly doubt it will feature Britney, Cheno, Idina or any other current Broadway celeb as they will be old hags by then.

But good for Britney for buying ten copies of the cd and supporting sales of the OCR!

Tuttle-wtf? THere isn't a movie version of it being made! If so the news would be on more than one website. Find articles from PLaybill, broadway.com, ew.com, ny times or ny post etc. and i'll believe you. until than, ur full of crap.

Phantom is purportedly the most popular and highest grossing show ever, correct? And how long did it take them to get a movie started? 15 years?

Just the fact that Spears THINKS she can would even remotely work for the role has me rolling on the floor laughing.

My vote would go to Idinia and JLT. But if it does takes 10 or 15 years they might a wee too old then ... XD

But with Wicked, you never know.
I actually would not mind if someone else stepped in to play the role in the movie. Someone else as in Shoshana maybe? Someone who doesn't sound unhealthy when singing the last chorus of "Defying Gravity"...
