SCENE: A SERIES OF POP-ART PANELS AND POLES THAT JOIN TO CREATE A MULTI-LEVEL... UM... STRIP CLUB?
So, there's supposed to be funny in there right?
That was brilliant! Thank you, Gil.
"Funny how POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER DUE TO YOUR SON'S DEATH is nowhere on here. Well, according to my notes here, if your son had never died, none of your neuroses would have ever been triggered."
So true.
Wanna be makes me laugh
If ever there is a negative thread about N2N....there is our wanna be
A bit like Haemorrhoids, they seem to go away for awhile but always come back
Not one of Abridged's best, but thanks for posting.
Yeah, this one's not very funny...

but i totally agree with what he says about the ending. as much as i love the show. i totally agree.
I thought the scene descriptions were hilarious and some of the moments were really good, but overall, not one of the funnier Broadway Abridged scripts. I still enjoyed it though.
Eh, not very funny at all. They've done far, far better ones. Their Wicked parody, I think, remains far and away the funniest one.
Foster will jump on any negative Next to Normal bandwagon he can find. It's neauseating.
I thought it was extremely funny because I honestly had the exact same thoughts while watching the show.

Actually, I don't think that she has PTSD. PTSD wouldn't explain her affective symptoms. I still say bipolar or even possibly borderline personality disorder.

What do you think: The more you like a show they criticize, the less likely you are to find it funny?

Just finished reading it. I haven't seen the show, but I thought it was pretty funny. Especially the part about guessing what rhyme comes next, because I was doing just that while listening to the cast recording.
I am a big fan of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Spring Awakening, and I thought their parodies were hysterical.

It might be because of the subject matter, though. It's a pretty touchy issue.
I love Wicked, and the Wicked parody, as I mentioned, if my favorite of any of the ones that they've done.
This one just misses the mark.
You hit the nail on the head, Joe! These N2N/Alice Ripley maniacs are unable to be objective.
My personal fave:
"Enter a graduate from the MARY LOUISE PARKER SCHOOL OF CRAZY EYES."
XD XD XD
i thought this was hilarious. laughing the whole time while reading it thank you Bway Abridged!
I like the part about the lighting
These weren't that funny to begin with. He's still trying?
I found the Alice Ripley caveman talk funny at first, but like most of the jokes in these, they are dragged on for far too long.
Aside from the Ripley/Caveman thing, I thought that was pretty accurate
I love Broadway Abridged. Sometimes the plot synopses on the Wikipedia don't really tell the story in a very helpful way; but if you combine them with a BA, you can actually work out what's going on!
I've enjoyed parodies of both shows I've disliked and loved.
I "got" the jokes (and even agreed with many) but didn't find them all that funny.
I did like the lighting comments as well!
