Sorry if this is really obvious, but just double checking, so the online auctions right now...it doesn't matter if you don't bid on the items now if you're attending the actual auctions for them on Sunday?

Booooooooooooo. This was the one Sunday out of September and October I didn't have something to do! I hope it's not rescheduled!!!

"And, just to be sure, the closest restrooms are at the Marriott Marquis hotel? I just want to be sure that I'm not going to get in trouble if I were to go there to use them."
You will not get in trouble using those bathrooms. I use them all the time and even sit in the lounge when I get tired from walking around the city. Just make sure if you sit there and fall alseep that you wake up easily. You won't get in trouble but they will check on you since there has been some people that almost died sitting there.

^ During the DAY you won't get in trouble. After - I think - midnight, they do only allow people with room cards in. But we should all be long gone by then.

They have a bar that is open to non-hotel guests so the bathrooms would have to remain open. Not sure what time the bar closes but the last time I was there I left around 1am and they didn't seem to show any signs of closing.

Well, maybe it's after the bar closes. But they DO check room cards coming in after a certain hour. It's been a while since I was in Manhattan that late.

I have gone in after midnight and stayed there until 6am. I missed my last bus out and didn't want to sit/wander around on the streets. I didn't have to show a card(which was good since I wasn't staying there)

Again, the issue is ENTERING after a certain hour. Midnight may have been too early, but they do check room cards for people entering in the wee hours. Once you're in, it's obviously hard for them to know (though I also saw them run someone out who was hanging out in a chair in the women's restroom and had been for a while, which secutiry WAS aware of) but I have been stopped and I have had friends (on more than one occasion) stopped by security on trying to ENTER the hotel after a certain hour (1am? 2am?) and asked to present our room cards.
Yeah, I'm definitely not staying too late on Sunday, so I don't think needing to use the bathroom there will be an issue. But, thanks everyone for reassuring me that it's okay to go there.

Yeah, you should definitely be ok during flea market hours! :)
in a way, I'm almost hoping they cancel it and move it to next Sunday. Rain isn't much fun to be in, especially when you're trying to carry merch around the city :/

I think the biggest problem with moving it is getting the permit and approval to close the street. I believe there has to be a certain amount of notice given, etc. It's the reason so many marches, protests, parades, festivals, etc. are "rain or shine". You can't just close a street in Manhattan because it rained a different day.
mhmm, they've moved it in the past before because of weather. Hopefully it won't be too crappy out. Stop rain dancing

Who said I'm rain dancing? I'm just saying it's a lot more complicated than just randomly deciding "It rained, so we're doing it next week."

hahaha the rain dancing comment wasn't directed at you! it was general. relax! :P

it's more of a concern for the amount of money BCEFA will earn. Bad weather is going to impact the number of people who will travel into or around the city that day, maybe not significantly, but that organization deserves as much money as they can possibly get!

Completely understood. However, like I said, there are regulations about street closures and notices that can make things difficult.
Still, it should be a great event either way!

Where are the autograph tables set up?(on the map)
From my understanding, that's over by Junior's.
Regardless of weather, I'm still going on Sunday. I already have tickets to see the Next to Normal matinee. That will definitely mess up my plans if they move the flea market to another day.

Thanks!
I am going regardless as well(I am seeing N2N too). I will be in the city next Saturday, so hopefully if the flea market is rescheduled it won't be next Sunday.
The photo booth and the autograph table are on the porches of Juniors. The photo booth is on the porch that's in Shubert Alley and the table is on the other one.

I'm leaving Boston at 5:30 tomorrow to get in before the entire thing starts. I am PRAYING that there is some rain to keep away the non die hards, and then it lets up. Anyone who feels like lighting a candle at church to hope it works out this way, please do.
And if it does rain hard and anyone sees a guy most likely swearing and marching through the rain with a Boston accent and clutching something from Xanadu or Follies-that will be me.
