How long till you think Chicago will call it quits? Also what do you think will be the next show to close that has yet to announce it?

I don't think we're losing any of the long running shows anytime soon. The next show to post closing will probably be one of the many spring shows that haven't started yet.
Lots of big losses contained in those numbers.
It strikes me as less of a bloodbath than usual following the New Year week bonanza. Only one commercial show grossed less than $400,000.

You should take a look age the grosses data base. It is fascinating. According to the data base, since opening 19 years ago, Chicago has only grossed more than 2015's numbers in three years (including years 1 and 2). Clearly, a lot of that is due to ticket price inflation, but the grosses are up noticably from even 5 - 7 years ago.
I do not know what represents a reasonable level of annual break even inflation but, based on reviewing that chart, I would guess that the show is still making a consistent profit every year and that, unless it sees a real box office slump (vs. historic attendance patterns), it will be around for years to come.

Absolutely.
re "less of a blood bath"
I think the weather is definitely a factor. Also, it seems to me that more and more schools are extending the holiday break so more kids are still home from college.
AAIP grossed under 1 million for the first time(?).
edit: I realized they were under 1 million their first 5 weeks, but still. They must be seeing a decrease in ticket sales. I know it's the week after New Years but how did wicked stay in the millions of AAIP couldn't.

Wicked and American in Paris are not comparable.
I'm sure An American in Paris is doing just fine -- very different show and audience than Wicked.
AAIP is the only show of last season to sty over a million dollars a week through the end of the year. Who ever would have thought that this time last year!

In a way not that bad because the numbers from the previous week were very inflated due to the holiday season. Fox example, "Finding Neverland" grossed a little over $700,000 which is not much lower than it was doing before the holiday December.
Yay Spring Awakening! Apparently Stephen Sondheim was in the audience last week..

Nice to see King Charles being one of the few shows with a post! holiday bump in both attendance and gross. I guess the word is finally getting out
I saw King Charles on Friday and albeit there were like 10 empty seats, but it was sold very well.
At least the Minskoff theater still has a good show in attendance... Everything else I guess not so much.... Hope the ratings change next week maybe they are new shows or something that just opened or came to the theater who knows.
