Wow! Follies sustained the big bucks! So, last week wasn't a fluke?

"Sister Act" has been on a roll these last three weeks. I hope their numbers continue to go up.

madbrian, I'd wait until this week's grosses come out to tell if it was a fluke or not. They still have over 700 seats for sale for tomorrow night's performance (as of 7pm monday night), which is the most I've ever seen the day before. (That popular discount code expired yesterday). This upcoming whole week is much, much less sold than any of the past weeks since the show started.

Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

Spider-Man is still doing well! So happy for the cast and crew!

I'm sad to hear that Billy Elliot is closing though. It was a great show...

Didn't Gypsy break the house record for the Shubert, having the highest gross for that theatre at the time, then dropped off very quickly, I expect Follies to do the same.

Gypsy (the Bernadette Peters production at the Shubert) played for 13 months - it opened on May 1, 2003 and closed May 30, 2004. I wouldn't call that dropping off very quickly.

I'm glad that "Chicago" numbers are moving up a bit. from RC in Austin, Texas (the PattiLuPone/Chicago FANatic)
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

glad to see sister act is creeping back up. According to the Playbill Club emails, it looks like they're trying to fill the rear mezz up again. Good news?

I wouldn't be suprised if they opened up the rear mezz again for the holidays.
