Couldn't Pippin get a Destiny's Child? Maybe not Beyonce, but surely one of the others could do it. Or heck, throw in Raven Simone. I'd be a mess but I'd see her.

Raven could star in Pippin and be incredible. Without a doubt. The Leading Player is an energetic and lively character which is Raven's specialty.

Once is a very cheap show to run. It made over 300K, which means it probably still made a profit.

Pippin should change up/change back the casting to a male LP - Taye Diggs, Usher, Adam Levine would be interesting in the role.

Pippin, unlike Cinderella and If/Then has recouped. So, is the gross now just the cost to run the show/salaries, and any surplus is money in pockets? So, why worry about it?

Also, Cabaret is with Roundabout, a subscriber-based company. Therefore, don't they have an extra leg or two to stand up on?

Oh, right, forgot about both Pippin and Once (recouped)... But if they fall below nut and are surviving on previous profits, they can only cannibalize for so long, right?

Well, Pippin is on tour now, and people coming into NYC might not be as likely to see it. I'm guessing that it might close after the New Year. (They may try to limp towards their second anniversary, but I'm not so sure. There are plenty of shows waiting for theaters.)

Raven couldn't keep Sister Act open, what makes you all think she'll suddenly sell tickets if she's in Pippin?

neon-she won't-I think it's going to close shortly after New Years. The tour is getting better reviews than the current cast (probably accurate). It made its profit and is being seen all over the country. They should close-either in Jan. or around their anniversary.

'Cinderella' might be able to recoup through the tour. 'Les Miserables' is not doing so great.

Oh no. I fear for Pippin and I don't think that guy from the voice is going to sale more tickets.
They should bring back Matthew James Thomas

I saw that IF/THEN has silently extended to Jan 18 on Ticketmaster, and the November "Idina Menzel will not be performing" dates are still up (not canceled outright, which I wondered they might given the very poor grosses this past week with Menzel out) so.... Actually, I don't know what that means. Just curious.
