Ouch! Follies took a dip!
And I'm still surprised every week that WICKED isn't doing 100% most weeks anymore.

I wouldn't worry about Follies... I think she still has ALOT of steam in her :)
And WICKED has been at 100% just not the past few weeks cuz of school and such.

If "Follies" continues to drop like that than "Evita" will still play at the Mrquis Theatre. Anaway, great week for lots of shows. "Sister Act" has made up so much ground in these last two months. I think "Lion King" was #1 this week because of the holiday weekend and more families went to see it. Th 3D re-release of the film in theaters has also been good for it. I remember when "Mamma Mia" and "Hairspray" had great boosts because of their film adaptations.

Posted: 10/11/11 at 2:39pmI was about to ask if it was possible that Follies would extend again---but I guess this week's grosses answers my question.

My wife and daughter went Saturday afternoon- used the 30% off coupon and got front row mezzanine seats for like $75 a piece. From the average ticket price and percentage of gross, there's still a lot of discounting going on, but the gross is nothing to sneeze at.
They loved the show a lot. (Then, that evening they went to Book of Mormon....)

calm down! Let the natural ebb and flow occur. And I know this may come as a shock to some, but not everyone is so hyped up to see Follies.
As for Sister Act and Priscilla, see them now , chances are they will not be around after the New Year.

Posted: 10/11/11 at 8:01pmPlaybill has a discount for Follies that good until November 6th, so I don't think lacking a discount is to blame.

Well I don't exactly know how many channels discounts are distributed etc.. but a FOLLIES discount didn't appear on Broadwaybox.com at least, until a few days after the old one had expired, in the middle of last week, so it is plausible that at least some people didn't buy tickets because they didn't think a discount was available.

Posted: 10/11/11 at 8:11pmSister Act is doing fine right now and its numbers should continue to improve as the holidays get closer, no need to close it. Priscilla I can see gone by New Year's.
