Wow… this must be a really slow season. But what I find weird is that this time is usually packed because Thanksgiving is next week. I feel like Mamma Mia is gonna go soon.

Mamma Mia! did similar numbers last year, it's the pre Thanksgiving lull. The star studded plays are doing great like The River, It's Only a Play and The Elephant Man. The Real Thing despite the lackluster reviews is proving successful for Roundabout.

I'm sure their grosses will pick up during the holidays but how much longer does Mamma Mia really have?

I'm surprised the Alan Alda/Candice Bergen engagement of "Love Letters" is doing so much better than the Mia Farrow and Carol Burnett ones.

The reason Mamma Mia! moved to the Broadhurst was because the Shuberts wanted the Winter Garden for Rocky and the producers could afford to downsize it. I think for now it'll stay put but if a producer want the Broadhurst, it's not unlikely it'll close or maybe transfer again, they could easily downsize it further.

No. This time of year is never packed. It's only "packed" actually during Thanksgiving through Christmas. This is quite normal.

Glad I am not a big fan of Mamma Mia! because it is NOT doing well.

Predictably: "If/Then," sans Menzel, took a hundred grand slide. Was "Side Show" heavily comped at the end (or even middle) of the week, for the critics performances? 85% capacity. If so, these numbers, though not nearly good enough, are somewhat better than expected.

I hate to see THIS IS OUR YOUTH doing so bad. I saw six shows this past week and this (and Emma in Cabaret) was a major highlight. I can't say enough good things about it.

It's actually interesting that Cinderella was one of the few shows that did not decline in gross. (It was up a tiny bit, but most shows took a big hit.) I wonder if that bodes well for a big final five weeks. That would be my guess.

I saw This Is Our Youth in previews and I not only forget I saw it, I forget it's even on Broadway.

Mormon continues to baffle, when it first came out I was like hooray, comedy I love, a love letter to Broadway, but 102.6 forever, don't get it.

I think Mormon found long term success by being booked in a small house. Had they moved to a bigger house(i.e. St. James, Simon, Palace), I don't think it would still be selling out.

'Les Miserables' is not doing so great during these fall months despite being a very well-known show.

Does anyone know Chicago's weekly nut? It can't be making much profit, if any. I don't think it will be around come the holidays 2015.

I'm wondering what Les Mis' weekly nut is as well. Cause they can't be making much either.

I wouldn't be surprised if Les Mis ends up closing sometime next year, I think if it's ready, Miss Saigon might be a suitable replacement for it as the Imperial.
