Not a bad week!
Wow looks like Night Music had the second highest attendance after Jersey Boys.

great week all around. seems like in the heights is slipping, while ragtime/mary poppins went up. these next few weeks should be like thanksgiving. billy elliot should be at 100%.
Sorrry can't find the billy elliot love thread. Announcement, Billy Elliot Ballet Girls will be at Bryant Park this thursday from 11am-1pm, signing autographs and giving out prizes to people skating.
Definitely not a bad week at all. Grosses should keep going up as Christmas week gets closer and closer, and then it will get pretty ugly.
I'm confused why Night Music's ticket price has reduced significantly...I didn't think they offered any discounts etc.. and considering the previous weeks prices? (I've probably missed something obvious so let me know :P).
Also, how long will they only have 7 performances for?
Is N2N losing momentum? They must be cutting it fine this week.
Night Music's average ticket price dropped because the comp tickets that are given to the first night press list and for opening night are now factored into overall attendance figures. So because shows have to give out about 250 pair of free seats pre-opening and around the same post-opening, the number of people paying $0 for their press tickets drives down the average ticket price. It will start to spring back up this week and next.
Night Music had the critics in this week, and also opened. They gave out a lot of comps.
Next to Normal's nut has been reported as being around 275K, so they did just fine.
Carnage is going to get a run with the new cast.
come on Ragtime!! Here's hoping those numbers continue to increase. They nearly added 1,000 more people to their attendance compared to the previous week. A nice little increase for them!!
What's going on with HAIR?
MEMPHIS seems to be doing alright which I find kind of surprising for a new musical with no stars attached.
Good for NIGHT MUSIC, I was curious to see how Catherine Z. Jones would sell the show.

like i said..hair was fine when the people were told they had to like it by the press.
NOw that people have actually gotten the word out that its just "ok" it will die. Press does WONDERS....for a little bit.
Hair is in no trouble. The already recouped and are above their weekly nut.

I also saw A Little Night Music on the tkts boards for 40% off a few times. That figures into the price as well.
