Def see Waverly!"
I’m definitely seeing The Waveriy Gallery. I’ve already told my friend (who is joining me Friday and Saturday) that I’m seeing Waverly with or without her. We’re seeing American Son for sure on Friday or Saturday. I already have my Torch Song ticket for the final Sunday matinee and will grab a ticket (either rush or TKTS) for the Sunday night performance of The Lifespan of a Fact. That leaves one more performance on Friday or Saturday. My friend isn’t sure she wants to see more than one show (she also wants to budget for meals/drinks/shopping). I’ll see five shows on my trip regardless, but I’ve inundated her with a list of shows that are often/occasionally often on TKTS and/or we have a good chance of winning rush for that fifth slot:
The Ferryman (appears to be front runner for best play; often listed at TKTS; I think I’d love it; just wonder if I should break up the 4 other plays with lighter fare, possibly a musical)
The Band’s Visit (that current sale sure is enticing and I’d love to revisit before Lenk eventually leaves the show)
Dear Evan Hansen (would love to revisit, but think my friend will not be willing to pay even TKTS prices for this; am I correct that DEH TKTS prices are $95 - 136?)
The Cher Show (seems fun, but only if we can get it at TKTS)
The Prom (more interested since the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade performance plus it seems to always be at TKTS and rush would seem to not be too hard to win)
I’d like to also see Network and To Kill a Mockingbird, but they don’t appear to be budget-friendly right now, plus Jeff Daniels confirmed on Stephen Colbert last night that his contract is for a year so I have time to still see him in it.
