Percy Jackson is still bombing, but there are just four weeks of its run left, so the sheer bloody mindedness of the producers will keep it on to the end...

Pretty much every show is getting the holidays boost now. Beetlejuice took a tumble though. And still Lightning Thief continues to bleed money.

I haven't seen it/won't be able to, but I'm happy to see A Christmas Carol doing well after hearing people rave about it!

CFA is having an excellent fall - better box office than they were doing in the summer.

I personally feel CFA will outlast DEH. Not by several years, but it just appears to appeal to a larger audience than DEH. Both shows should hit their 5-year marks, but I can see CFA lasting 500 more performances than DEH. CFA, in terms of grosses, reminds me of Beautiful, who always saw a dip in the summer and then a boost in the Fall when most other shows see a decline.

Despite loving DEH and relating to it somewhat, I can not deny that after I saw CFA I turned to my sister and told her that I didn't understand how CFA lost the Tonys to DEH. And I loved DEH, so this was-personally-a big deal. I totally agree with you, ACL2006. I do think your prediction will come true.

Huge week for Ain't Too Proud, which broke the weekly record at the Imperial by grossing over $1.7 million. And this in a week that was mostly down compared to the previous week.

"Come From Away" is a wonderful show and I am glad that it has had box office success even though it did not win Tony for Best Musical. I wonder why the two shows you mentioned do better in the fall than summer.

Dont forget that CFA is in a larger theatre.  DEH's average ticket price is still consistently higher than CFA.  (I liked CFA but loved DEH).
