re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 3/30

Well, I am coming this Friday for two weeks, so, a few weeks later, have no effect at all to me ! I'd prefer to be in a "tone down" period, but really, I am so happy to be visiting my most beloved place on earth, that even if it is packed, I'll still have a fantastic time ! Sorry for the thread-jack !

Most of New England states have public school (HS and down) still to come....most of MA has the 3rd week of April off (I'll be in the city all week)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

How could a show like HAIRSPRAY's grosses go down by more than $100,000 when it actually sold slightly MORE tickets than last week... when it was ALREADY over 100% capacity?

How is the "average" price of seats for CRY-BABY $35? Even with all preview seats being $54, they can't have that many Rush seats to offset the price, can they?
