My Red comment had nothing to do with it being able to sustain the run. It had to do with the crazy dip it took from last week.

For what it's worth, the direct mail piece for "RED" is still on my fridge (I've seen it, but my friend wanted the code so I saved it for him and never remembered to throw it out) and its cutoff was yesterday.

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say that's the reason for the dip -- i.e., the performance period covered by their first round of pre-opening offers is the period that has been on sale at a discount the longest. When the show opened, everyone who was waiting for the reviews grabbed their flyers or found the emails they had received and bought tickets using the discount (which they could only do through this past Sunday). If you go back and look at plays that had weak to mediocre preview grosses, received great reviews and/or had great word of mouth, and then started selling much stronger, it's actually a phenomenon that can be observed quite frequently. A few weeks after opening, the grosses take a big dip and then slowly build again. Hopefully, this past week will be the low point in what's left of their limited run and they will only build up further from here.

And as previously noted, a $390K gross on a 2-character play is still likely a nicely profitable week.

apparently, The Addams Family is still doing will in advance sales despite it's poor reviews.

And I'm now worried for Hair. Why don't they have people on the street(Times Square) promoting the show now like so many others??

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

"My money is on HAIR closing September 5th."

I hope not, that is the day Wicked closes in SF and I can't be at 2 places at once.
