Wow, the grosses and average ticket price = not too shabby, Fences.
WOW! Come Fly Away has been doing some serious business. At this rate, White Christmas is gonna need to find a new house if they want it to come back next year.
I really wish HAIR was doing a lot better.
Those numbers are really bad for God of Carnage. Now I see why they are closing it.

Ouch! 97K for Everyday Rapture. And with an average ticket of $18.92 Updated On: 4/26/10 at 03:50 PM
I would like all those who told me with great insistance that CZJ would be clearly more important than Lansbury to Night Music's ticket sales to take a look at this week's 27.8 percentage dip.
Feb. 28 - Looped, Feb. 28 - Next to Normal, March 4 - Hair, March 11 - A Little Night Music, March 24 - Time Stands Still, April 6 - La Cage Aux Folles, April 10 - Anyone Can Whistle (City Center), April 10 - Looped, May 9 - Enron, May 15 - A Little Night Music, May 15 - A Behanding In Spokane, May 30 - A Behanding In Spokane, May 30 - A Little Night Music, June 20 - A Little Night Music, June 23 - Red, June 23 - Sondheim on Sondheim, July 13 - A Little Night Music, July 18 - The Grand Manner (Lincoln Center)
What are you talking about? The attendance went up 10% and the gross 25K?
Frogs, I made a mistake, I was referring to last week's. When I clicked on the link on the left side of the page about an hour ago it had not been updated yet. She was out, I believe, beginning 4/13. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that was a substantial dip last week and it seems like that must be the cause of it. :)

well, we can see what difference the critics made to THE ADDAMS FAMILY (am i the only one wigged out by its alphabetized place by "the?")--not one whit. the show will run for as long as lane's contract.
a bit surprised that anyone would predict PROMISES, PROMISES to close in 1 month. i would imagine hayes and chenoweth to have a similar effect, at least enough to drive the show to tony time (not that far away).
Um, Red is fine. $390k gross for a very cheap show to run is not too shabby.

Hair is in some trouble.
Wonder how much of Addam's Family tickets were sold before the reviews came out. They had a huge advance, so we may not know for some time how the reviews effected ticket buyers.
Lane + recognizable franchise = $$$$ though.

interesting. i notice YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is curiously absent from the database (since folks were making comparisons with THE ADDAMS FAMILY grosses).

Young Frankenstein chose not to publish their grosses.
Unless Elton is using "Next Fall" as a write-off for "Billy Elliot" Profits---it looks in Trouble!!!

We have already been through this. The discounts for CZJ's absences were more significant - we don't know how low the attendance could have been if the tickets weren't discounted so significantly for CZJ.
HAIR: It won't last the summer...What a shame.
God Of Carnage: OUCH!!!
A Little Night Music: I gotta feeling it won't last after CZJ and AL leave.
Next Fall: I'll give it a month...

I expect HAIR to announce a closing date soon. And, they haven't announced where the tour is starting. Right?
I've said it before but I think HAIR will last through the summer and shutter some time in the fall/early winter.
And NEXT FALL will probably be able to play through the Tonys. If it loses Best Play, it'll almost definitely close right away a la REASONS TO BE PRETTY. Such a shame.

I'm not surprised by HAIR's numbers. Having said that, they had a decent week during spring break and if they can reach those numbers again once school gets out, they should last through the summer at least.

My money is on HAIR closing September 5th.
qolbinau, don't get your stinger out of joint. It's called levity. I didn't realize CZJ was more steeply discounted, though. :)

Oh, I didn't mean to sound so bitter, haha. (I guess "We've been through this." is what did it).
I see why carnage is closing & Reds took a big hit.
Tickets for the Addams family were on sale for several months before it even came close to opening let alone getting a review for the broadway show. surprised American Idiot didn't make more.
