Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 5/15/16

well, you hear a lot of things in this business and all of them can't be true. It is certainly possible both are closing soon but not because they are neck and neck. Psycho has a path, Tuck doesn't. Does Psycho have the reserves to pursue that path? Dunno.

Going back this Friday to feed my addiction. Sure wish there was an update on making a video of it.

Really the Color Purple gross is in line with what the gross usually is. There was just a drastic climb up last week for Jennifer's last week. If you look at the attendance, it's usually in the 80%+ range.

"

Last week's grosses were the lowest of any 8-show week the show has had so far. It was over 200k less than the average 8-show week gross so far. Last week was a relatively bad week for this show (compared with other weeks - in fact, it's the worst yet) - no question. Hudson's departure has been felt.

Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

Absolutely. I would imagine the producers tried their hardest to get her to extend. She might not be the strongest actress, but she was quite the draw.

Ahh, I was only really look at the attendance perfectange. So, has the average ticket price been driven down then?

"

Me too. I was in New York for 11 days in April and of the 11 shows I saw, Eclipsed was the new play that impressed me the most (as some I'd see in London so weren't technically new to me). I thought it was superb - script, acting - it had every emotion and was wonderfully brought to life. I truly hope more people see it. They should bring it here to London. I think it would do very well.

TCP should market Danielle more since OITNB is coming back soon. I don't think most people have any idea how great of a Sofia she is.

American Psycho is doing fine, it's average ticket price is rising and its attendance is healthy. This a niche show and it would have known that before they opened.

Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

both of these fine actors sell tickets only at the margins and most of the margins were accounted for already.

also OITNB viewership is thought by most people who pundit on the subject to have fallen off dramatically.
