Millie is notorious for not having been a “hit” despite being a Best Musical winner.

I would bet on it making it through the holidays and closing in Jan. They aren't losing money. But aren't making enough to put a dent in the capitalization.

Annie Get Your Gun recouped at the Marquis in ~7 months and ran a total of 2.5 years. Drowsy Chaperone, Damn Yankees, Tyne Daly's Gypsy, and Me and My Girl also recouped at the Marquis, I believe. Some other Marquis shows came close but likely turned a profit on the road: Millie, Evita, On Your Feet, White Christmas, etc.
You guys are talking about Tootsie like it's Home For The Holidays. Its breakeven is supposedly in the mid-$600k range, and it's been well above that during its entire run. It may be worth it to keep it open through New Years if it helps the brand of the show on the road and internationally (and to get that Thanksgiving-to-Christmas bump). Can't imagine the Nederlanders have another show dying to get into the Marquis before Xmas, and they also appear to be high-level co-producers on Tootsie.

Thank you for the correction. I guess my mistake was assuming a show that didn't run for a year didn't recoup, making me miss Gypsy and Damn Yankees. But then again I couldn't find anything on Annie Get Your Gun, but I heard some shows don't mention they recoup sometimes? Still, thank you for correct information.

Tootsie is 99% likely to atleast run through the end of the year they aren't bleeding money but yes they need to turn numbers around.

Get rid of Santino and find a singing comedian, black or white who has a foul mouth and offends all peoples and all religions; and make sure he is unattractive in drag.
I'm sure that is what they will do with Mrs Doubtfire, even though a Disney property but just with a potty mouth when not around the children.

As long as Tootsie is making some profit per week, I honestly expect it to continue there till there's something else lined up for the Marquis.
Any word on that Beauty and the Beast revival rumor?

I was a college student when Annie Get Your Gun went on Broadway. Will admit back then it wasn't on my radar until Reba McEntire went on for a limited engagement (~6 months.) AMAZING experience!!!!
