I was at the 5th preview of Purlie Victorious, and Kenny Leon came out for an introduction. He asked people to hang in there with the show and was really pushing people who like it to post about it on social media.

Maybe I was misinterpreting, but he seems very nervous about the show's commercial prospects for the first week of performances.

Oh I know, I was at the 3rd preview and Kenny did the same thing. I'll support the show best I can because I enjoy Kenny, Leslie, Kara, and Billy's work and this should be seen. Even at the stage door, the cast seemed overwhelmed by the support (there were about 50 of us and some celebrities as well) and they also were tasking us with help spreading the word.

What I liked most was that there weren't any of those annoying stage door jockeys looking to get HAMILTON stuff signed without seeing the show (especially one in particular who I always see toting around like three bags from Triton).
