I personally have to say Spelling Bee, but I wanna know what you think!
THE HISTORY BOYS!
New Musical: JERSEY BOYS
Musical Revival: SWEENEY TODD
It depends on who I'm talking to...

A non musical person: Doubt
A musical theatre enthusiast: Sweeney/Drowsy

I'm not the biggest Wicked fan anymore either. But if I'm talking to some kid in my class who wants to see one broadway show and they haven't seen Wicked, well I'd tell them too, so they can have that conversation about Wicked with everyone else who's only seen one show in about 3 years.
Someone lucking for just a great and fun show: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
Someone looking for a though provoking, interesting, and just fantastic production: Sweeney Todd

Lestat. It needs some work still, but they've got 2 more weeks of previews and are making changes daily, practically. It has tons of potential and is different and interesting, to say the least!
JERSEY BOYS! It will please and thrill both a laymen and a musical theater nerd!
I really need to see Jerey Boys sometimes ... too bad i wont be able to next trip.
But i'd say DRS
The Pajama Game...currently my favorite show on Broadway!
Avenue Q - but I'd warn them what they were getting into
Must see JERSEY BOYS, Rent and Wicked.
SPAMALOT!! It is the funniest thing I have ever seen!
And Lion King is something everyone has to see.
jane houdyshell in WELL is a must see.
Jersey Boys was pheonomenal. I now have a crush on on John Lloyd Young.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is so damn funny my side was killing me at the intermission. I was fortunate to see the original cast. NOTE: You must see Norbert before he leaves.
Avenue Q. The current cast is fabulous.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
