I always wear a mask. My friends and neighbors always wear masks. The people I see who are not wearing masks are not people I know. When I'm out for a daily walk and I approach someone not wearing a mask, that person will step out of my way to avoid close contact. I don't have to step out of their way. I don't know why they don't wear masks. Other than not wearing a mask, they are polite. I certainly don't know anything about their political leanings (except my neighbors and friends dress left).
My husband and I now have quite a collection of masks, mostly gifts. We have decided that we will continue to wear masks long after it is declared safe not to wear them.

And it is the red states where people are in fact not wearing masks. One's politics don't matter in NY because everyone has to wear a mask to function. One's politics apparently don't matter in Florida, according to you, because the prevailing laws are anti-mask, as encouraged by cantalope man."
But where you are wrong, it is not just red states where people are not wearing a mask. Blue states also. I saw live video today of NYC, where I counted 10 persons on the street not wearing a mask. But if you use your criteria that a red state such as Florida, that persons not wearing a mask is a Republican and only a Republican, how do you explain my local Walmart? We are talking Walmart here. Not really a haven for practicing Republicans. If I am telling you that only 10% of customers are wearing a mask and the other 90% who are not, are Republican voters, I yell bull. This Walmart, in this area of town, the majority of customers are in fact Democrat voters. They are not wearing a mask because they are selfish, ignorant and don't want anyone telling them what to do. Your theory that red states don't wear masks to support Trump and blue states wear masks to stick it to Trump is just a generalization. BTW, we don't have anti mask laws. And our Governor who is Republican, spoke today about the importance of wearing a mask, everytime you go outside. Kind of deflates the Red Vs Blue theory.
@ArtMan you are still missing the point. I rejected the dem vs repub person distinction but it is just silly to say that a state that requires masks to go inside a building Is comparable with Florida. Of course there are individuals outside without masks; what does that have to do with this? But you know what? forget it. enjoy looking at all of the non-complying people you say are in your midst and just remain befuddled.
